Love Holiday Cottages - Veteran Car Rally at Cresswell Quay

Cresswell Quay was the venue for a brief stop for an intrepid group of veteran car drivers last Sunday 8th May.

At 11am the sun shone brightly against all expectations as the first brave souls turned into 'The Quay' with the waterway providing a stunning backdrop to the events. The local hostelry 'The Cresselly Arms' provided teas and coffees in exchange for a charitable donation. Those looking for something a little stronger were catered for inside!

Special thanks go out to Roger from Northamptonshire who, against his better judgement, let our son Joshua sit in his prized possession. A very nice gesture that made his day.

This rally will be the first of many events at the quay, which is just around the corner from our cottages Lovespoon Cottage and Quay Cottage, Cresswell Quay, Pembrokeshire. Lovespoon Cottage, Cresswell Quay, Pembrokeshire

Lovespoon Cottage is a sweet cottage, with two bedrooms, sleeping four idyllically located by the river in Cresswell Quay, Pembrokeshire. There is a wood burner to make it a cosy Autumn and Winter retreat and a small rear patio overlooking the river to enjoy sunny afternoons for Spring and Summer.

The local wildlife is always close at hand and there are ducks and swans on this tidal river most days. Just around the corner from this holiday cottage is a super quayside inn - very authentic! Try a pint of the local 'firewater' and see how you get on.

This country cottage is just 6 miles or so from the coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot and even closer to all the major attractions like Oakwood, Folly Farm, the Dinosaur Park and Heatherton.
